MOUNT OLIVER COMMUNITY GARDEn

  Program Description from Grow Pittsburgh

Community Garden, also known as an allotment garden, where people rent or adopt individual beds to grow crops.

We allot beds or growing space to individuals for $10 per year for a 10’x20′ plot.

Anyone can join our project, but returning gardeners receive first priority, and Mt. Oliver Borough residents receive second priority.

Established 2014

Project Partners: Grow Pittsburgh, Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh, GTech Our growing space operates May thru October.

Our produce is consumed by our volunteers.

There are other activities – such as picnics, tours, and special events – that take place at our project.

We grow in approximately 55 usable 10’x20′ plots.
